Ideally I suppose I'd like a clean install of Win 11 but just to get back to 10 would be great.Ĭa anyone tell me if Dell employees monitor this forum because this is driving me mad - and some of it may be my fault but I don't know. When I tried to boot from usb I got a message that no OS was found, and the dvd attempt just showed some type of copyright message - to be truthful I've never used the machine - perhaps on reflection it's a cd drive not a dvd. In a sort of amateurish attempt to install Win 11 over it I downloaded the ISO and burnt to dvd and placed on usb. I did not stay with the machine while reinstalling but it did seem to stall a bit and lose wifi near the end. I have managed to get into advanced options and tried various settings/troubleshooting - but as yet nothing helps. To install windows on this computer restart the installation" Pressing OK restarts the computer and we go back to the message. It seemed to be going well until right at the end and when it attempted to boot up - we get a message "We could not complete the installation. ![]() We had backup of files and though I won't go into many details (.NET was messed up among other things), we were not too worried and went through Dell Support OS to reinstall Win 10. After Win 10 did an update a few days ago the machine was noticeably corrupted. ![]()
